Majestic-12 was a top secret research and development/intelligence operation and group. It reports directly only to the President of the USA who at that time was Dwight D. Eisenhower. Operations of the project were carried out under control of the Group.
Members of the group were recommended by Dr. Vannevar Bush and Secy. James Forrestal and established by special classified executive order of President Harry S. Truman.
